Hello, my little sugar plummmmmms! I hope everyone is well and dandy in this lovely May month we're having! Firstly, apologises for not blogging in a while, being a 3rd year university student with 10 billion hand-ins and a protestation level of 9000 is not ideal, but it is all over now and I am offically FINISHED with uni! I plan to be releasing string of blog posts, reviews, swatches and even starting some videos within the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled!
Shall we get started then? I would like to discuss this absolute gem that was released at the start of the March, The limited edition Anastasia Beverly Hills X Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit (£39)
This palette is both Cruelty-free and Vegan which is just incredible! When something is so pretty and has such high ethical values, it just makes it ten times better! Anastasia Beverly Hills is well-known for being a high end brand which is cruelty-free, however I am slightly sceptical because on their website, one of the delivery locations is China. I emailed them to clear things up for me and this was their response:
Anastasia Beverly Hills X Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit.
First impression, it was smaller than expected. It looked a lot larger in photos on Instagram and the ABH website, but I haven't had a ABH glow palette before so this could be the normal size? Then again, size doesn't matter, right guys? The packaging its self is stunning, a pastel pink shade with a faint shimmer. It comes in an identical sleeve so you can keep the original packaging in perfect condition. Only issue is, there is not compact mirror inside, but it's not a deal breaker.
There are 6 highlighters in total, each weighting 4.5g/0.16oz. Thats £5.15(ish) a highlighter. Basically the regular price of an individual highlighter so I think it's deffo worth the purchase! I've had mine for about 2 months now and use it on a daily basis and its hardly made a dent in the palette. A little goes a long, longggg way with these beauties!
Normally, I go for more natural, golden tones as they better suit my skin. However, this palette consists of 6 metallic highlighters in some very usual shades making it that little bit more special!
The shades are:
Kitty Kat – Pink with a platinum reflect
Forever Young – Pink pearl with a silver reflect
Daydream – Coral with a white gold reflect
Forever Lit – Platinum with a lavender reflect
Glo Getter – Champagne with a rose reflect
143 – Rose gold with a bronze reflect
Granted, I love more shades that others. I'm not a fan of anything pinky-toned on my cheeks as it really does not suit my complexion, but on days I do decide to wear Kitty Kat or Day Dream, the shades are so natural that you focus more on the metallic reflect of silver/gold (depending which shade you're wearing). I am completely obsessed with Glo Getter and Forever Young, they legit complete me like no human ever will.
From first look, these highlighters look as if they contain large particles of glitter and that they could be over powering on your skin. However, the shimmer is so fine, it leaves a flawless finish and blends with ease! But my God, THE GLOW is out of this worldddddd. These can be applied straight onto the skin, or if you want that extra glow, wet your application brush slightly before for that extra shimmer (and trust me, it does work!)
I often use some shades within this palette as eyeshadows as a top coat for an already shimmery shadow, just for that extra glow! Works a treat!
They last all f**king day, even if its raining these bad boys doooo nooooot budge!
Buy this beauty before time runs out. If it wasn't limited edition, I would forever keep
re-purchasing this palette!
The price, the quality, the quantity, the ethical value, the appearance, the glowwwwww, everything is top knotch and you'd be a fool to not have this in your collection. A fool, I tell you.
Have you tried this palette? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! x
Until next time
