Rose Gold Dreams! BH Cosmetics // Rose Quartz 9 Piece Brush Set

June 4, 2017

Hello my darlings! I hope each and every one of you is well and safe from the horrific attacks today! Stay safe London!

So, I think everyone has realised that BH Cosmetics are rapidly becoming my new favourite brand! They're affordable, high quality, have a wide variety of products, unique, available in the UK (BeautyBay) and they're cruelty-free standards are incredibleeeeee! BH Cosemtic's are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny Approved which is amazing, and most of their brush sets are made with synthetic bristles; the only issue is not all products are vegan which is a real shame, but baby steps I guess! Hopefully one day they will be completely vegan as well!

BUT, hold the phone for just a damn second... HAVE WE SEEN THE ROSE QUARTZ BRUSHES?!

I've never seen something so beautiful in all my lifeeeeeeee! The rose gold marble print is just mesmerising, the synthetic bristles are so soft and they leave your makeup looking flawless and professional each time! The blending ability of these brushes is outstanding!

The set includes (left to right):

1. Large Angled Contour Brush

2. Powder/ Blush Brush

3. Tapered Highlight Brush

4. Deluxe Blending Brush

5. Dense Crease Brush

6. Tapered Blending Brush

7. Precision Crease Brush

8. Flat Shader Brush

9. Detailing Brush

1. Large Angled Contour Brush

The flat head of the brush is incredible for shaping under cheek bones, forehead, jaw line and neck, but the bristles are so soft that it blends out any harsh lines flawlessly.

2. Powder/ Blush Brush

Applies loose powders to the under eye, forehead, nose and chin with precision, but soft enough to not allow the powder to set and look 'cakey'.

3. Tapered Highlight Brush

The most important brush! Highlighter is BAE! We don't want our highlighter looking cakey, heavy and uneven now do we? This brush will never allow that to happen! It applies and blends highlighter with ease and leaves you with a flawless, professional glow!

4. Deluxe Blending Brush

I use this best for blending together the edges of my contour and highlighter so there are no harsh, obvious lines and it works a damn treat! I love it! Also, if you're a messy bugger like me and I miss place my brushes all the time, it works well as a temporary highlight brush!

5. Dense Crease Brush

PERFECT for getting that deep crease cut and using the Tapered Blending Brush to blend out and soften the eyeshadow! My usual problem with brushes like this is the bristles are too feathered out and doesn't focus on the crease, however the bristles are very compacted and dense which makes application along the crease so much easier to sculpt and detail with precision then feathered out afterwards!

6. Tapered Blending Brush

I primarily used this brush to apply a base before going into any major eyeshadow detail with the other brushes. NOW, there is nothing that bugs me more (except for people eating chocolate bars wrong... yes you know who you are.) than unblended eyeshadow under the brow bone that looks very 'blocky' without the intention to appear this way. This brush solves that instantly, the bristles are spread out but soft so they can blend in wider areas and leave the perfect graduation of an eyeshadow!

7. Precision Crease Brush

Smaller brush for getting into the noocks and crannies of the crease, primarily for blending out the outter corners of the crease cut. Perfect for the under the lower lash line as well for that smokey eye vibe!

8. Flat Shader Brush

This is is spot on for applying eyeshadow, glitter, conclear base, ect to the lid! The flat head ensures the eyeshadows and glitters stay in place rather than going all over the eyelid which is not what we want! Howeverrrrrrr, I am guilty of using this brush for highlighting areas and contouring my nose. The brush is thinner and more accurate in smaller areas compared to the contouring brush which is perfect for larger areas! It has multiple uses, to me thats a winner!

9. Detailing Brush

This little cutie is for those final touches to complete that perfectiomentoooo eyeshadow! I use this brush for my highlight under the brow bone and in the inner corners of my eyes! The bristles are rather compact on this brush making it difficult for blending, but its definietly a winner for

One amazing aspect of these brushes is they're numbered which is so helpful because I am foreverrrrr making it up as I go. I dont know what half my makeup brushes do sometimes or what order to use them in, so having them numbered, especially when it comes to doing eye makeup, is extremely helpful!! Why don't all brushes do this?!

Overall

GET THEM! GET THEM! GET THEM!

I don't know how much I can express my love for this set unless I married it on live TV! They're affordable, stunning, gentle on the skin, easy to use, blend with ease, cruelty-free, vegan and Leaping Bunny Approved... what more could you want?!

Have you tried any BH Cosmetic brushes? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,

- E x
